John Putnam House

Building Name:
John Putnam House

Architect:
Unknown

Date:
ca 1875

Address:
23 Fruit St Worcester, MA

Current Use:
Residence/Apartments

Notes:
This house is an excellent example of the Stick Style. It has an abundance of ornamental posts, brackets and decorated gables as well as a great variety of wall surface stick-work. As is the case with many of these middle and upper-class homes built in the cities during this time period, this house is located within walking or street railway distance from the downtown commercial district.
