Rufus Russell was an important New Haven architect who designed buildings in many styles including the Stick Style. Unfortunately, most of his other stick houses are either demolished or in very poor condition. He was an apprentice of Henry Austin. Hundreds of Russells architectural drawings are housed at the New Haven Colony Historical Society.
