Notes:
In form and ornamentation, this house presents a clear precedent of the Stick Style. Vaux included the plan for this house in his publication, Villages and Cottages, 1857. Vaux would later design many homes in the Stick Style. This house, overlooking the Hudson River, is in beautifully restored condition.
