National Criminal Justice Reference Service

(NCJRS) - “is a federally funded resource offering justice and substance abuse information to support research, policy, and program development worldwide.” This “free” web-based database offers access to many full-text publications as well as citations and abstracts to additional journal articles and reports. Remember to check the library's holdings if NCJRS only provides a citation and abstract. Use the library's Interlibrary Loan service to obtain articles and reports not owned by the library.

NBER WORKING PAPERS

(National Bureau of Economic Research) - The NBER is the nation's leading nonprofit economic research organization. NBER researchers initially report their findings in scientific papers aimed at other professional economists in academic institutions, business, government, and the business media around the world. Nearly 700 NBER Working Papers are published each year, and many subsequently appear in scholarly journals. Full texts of Working Papers published from November 1994 to the present are available online.

You may browse and preview all the eBooks, but to check out a book to read online, you will need to know your UMass Dartmouth Library barcode number. The barcode number is located on your Umass Pass if you've registered with the library.

(National Information Standards Organization) - non-profit association accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), identifies, develops, maintains, and publishes technical standards to manage information.

Nursing & Allied Health Source

(ProQuest) - Covers a wide range of topics, including nursing, allied health, alternative therapies, biomedicine, consumer health and health administration. Contains full text for many nursing and allied health journals for recent years and indexing for prior years. Provides Systematic Reviews, Evidence Summaries, and Best Practice Information Sheets from the renowned Joanna Briggs Institute. Consider also CINAHL Plus with Full Text for a comprehensive indexing source of the nursing and allied health literature.
