With roots going back over a hundred years, the university library is the largest academic library south of Boston. Our collections reflect what we teach at the university and the interests of the local community.
Here are a few examples...
- Print materials- The library has about 400,000 books, over 2,000 periodicals, over 100,000 U.S. Government publication, and several special collections.
- Electronic resources- Today more and more information is produced electronically. The library has an online catalog, access to numerous electronic and Web-based databases, and gateways to other libraries and public access to internet.
- Nonprint- Videotapes, slides, compact discs and microfilm are an important part of library research. The library has thousands of audiovisual materials, all fully cataloged!
- People All of these resources would be worthless without librarians and staff to help guide you to the information you need.
