Honor with Books Program
Claire T. Carney Library
University of Massachusetts Dartmouth
Sponsored by the
Claire T. Carney Library Associates
Would you like to show your appreciation for the written word, while at the same time recognizing a special person or group, through the Honor with Books program of the Claire T. Carney Library.
Make a contribution to the program, and an attractive bookplate will be placed inside the front cover of a new library book. The bookplate will bear the name of the person or persons being recognized and your own name.
Letters of acknowledgement, including a photocopy of each bookplate and the name of the book or books chosen, will be sent by the library for each gift.
Gift amounts may range from $40 for a single book to $1,000 for a “bookshelf” of 40 works. Gifts of $500 to $1,000 enable the donor to specify a subject from the library’s list of Collection Specialties.
Through Honor with Books, you can pay tribute to an individual or group in a meaningful, continuing way. It is especially well-suited for special events such as graduations or birthdays. The program presents a distinctive way in which you can demonstrate support for literature, learning, and the Claire T. Carney Library.
