Cabells Directories Online

(Cabells) - This subscription service features a database of deceptive and predatory journals in all fields of study, and a database of "verified, reputable journals", with details about those journals' acceptance rates and invited article percentages in business related areas. Metrics information is included. The index in each directory helps you match the characteristics of your manuscript to the topic areas the journal emphasizes, the type of review process, and likelihood of acceptance.

Cambridge Structural Database (CSD)

Cambridge Structural Database (CSD) is a repository of small-molecule organic and metal-organic crystal structures. Containing the results of over half-a-million x-ray and neutron diffraction analyses this is a unique database of accurate 3D structures.  CSD provides a comprehensive and retrospective coverage of the published literature. The CSD is continually updated with new structures and with improvements to existing entries. The CSD System also comprises software for database access, structure visualisation and data analysis, and structural knowledge bases derived from the CSD. (ProQuest) - Formerly Canadian Newsstand, Canadian Newsstream provides access to the full text of nearly 300 newspapers from Canada's leading publishers, including The Globe and Mail

(Gale) - Career Transitions provides guidance and essential activities for job seekers and those investigating new career options, including students, soon to be graduates, and adults new to navigating the modern job market.


(Thomson Reuters) Checkpoint is a web-based tax research database. It contains US federal, state and local tax law information including cases, codes, regulations and news updates.

CINAHL Plus with Full Text

(EBSCO) - Provides indexing and abstracting for nursing and allied health journals, providing full text for more than 560 journals indexed in CINAHL. The database contains 600,000 full-text articles dating back to 1937, as well as searchable cited references, legal cases, clinical innovations. critical paths, drug records, research instruments and clinical trials. Areas covered by the database include nursing, biomedicine, health sciences librarianship, alternative complementary medicine, consumer health and 17 allied health disciplines.

Cochrane Collection, The

(EBSCO) - provides access to high quality evidence-based research that support clinical and health management decisions. The database collection consists of multiple databases that can be searched separately:

  • Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (CDSR)- Contains full text, peer reviewed systematic reviews, as well as protocols, focusing on the effects of healthcare. Reviews are prepared according to strict protocols and utilize existing evidence-based data. Systematic reviews are updated as new information becomes available.
  • Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL) - Gathers records of publications based on randomized or quasi-randomized controlled trials. CENTRAL records offer bibliographic information and sometimes abstracts of the publications, but not the full-text. Also includes reports of controlled trials themselves.
  • Cochrane Methodology Register (CMR) – A bibliography of publications that report on methods used in the conduct of controlled trials, including bibliographic data and sometimes a summary of the article itself. Useful for those preparing systematic reviews.
  • Cochrane Clinical Answers – Clinician-focused resource providing answers to clinical questions based on the evidence found in Cochrane Systematic Reviews.
ComCat (Commonwealth Catalog)

(Auto-Graphics) Request books, dvds, and music from hundreds of libraries statewide. The catalog is a  great place to search for popular books, dvds, and music. Make a request and it will be delivered right to UMass Dartmouth for quick pickup.

Communication Source

(EBSCO) - includes coverage of more than 1,000 core titles and features full text for more than 600 active periodicals. The database offers abstracts, indexing and full-text content from publications worldwide pertaining to communication, linguistics, rhetoric and discourse, speech-language pathology, media studies and related fields.  It includes a subject-specific thesaurus and searchable cited references. 

Computer Science Database

(ProQuest) - "Search top computing journals in full text for research on subjects such as database design, software development, web commerce, LANs, WANs, Intranets, and the Internet."

Conference Board Research Collection, The

(Conference Board) - research is a searchable Collection of full-text research reports on the latest issues in business management and US and global economics. Proprietary, nonbiased research includes studies of F500 companies on business trends, leadership decisions, performance excellence, corporate governance, HR, productivity, CRM and more. Full-text coverage from 1998 to date.Economics material includes topline US and global economic indicators and analysis and forecasts of regional, national, and international economic conditions.

CQ Researcher

(CQ) - is a collection of reports on controversial issues of current significance. The reports offer topic overviews and background information, opposing viewpoint essays, and much more. The database contains reports dating back to 1991. NOTE: Beginning on June 21, 2013 access to reports previously only available in CQ Global Researcher have been added to this CQ Researcher database.

Criminal Justice Abstracts

(EBSCO) - contains comprehensive coverage of international journals, books, reports, dissertations and unpublished papers on criminal justice and criminology and related disciplines.
