Performing Arts Periodicals Database

Pharmaceutical News Index

(ProQuest) - "A database of pharmacological news, research, and regulatory information. Covers the most important specialized publications in the pharmaceutical, health care, biotechnology, and medical device industries"

Philosopher's Index

(EBSCO) - is a current and comprehensive bibliographic database covering scholarly research in all major fields of philosophy. The Index features author-written abstracts covering scholarly research published in journals and books, including contributions to anthologies and book reviews. Philosopher's Index contains research published since 1940, including nearly 570 journals from 43 countries with content representing a variety of languages.

Political Science Complete

(EBSCO) - Coverage includes subjects such as comparative politics, law and legislation, humanitarian issues, international relations, political theory and non-governmental organizations.

POPLINE

(K4Health) POPLINE is a "comprehensive collection of population, family planning and related reproductive health and development literature. An international resource, POPLINE helps program managers, policy makers, and service providers in low- and middle-income countries and in development-supportive agencies and organizations gain access to scientific articles, reports, books, and unpublished documents."

Primo

Primo allows you to locate the library's books, ebooks, videos, and journals. It can serve the same purpose as a traditional online catalog, but it is much more comprehensive. It includes digital art collections from the Visual Resource Center’s LUNA database and full-text articles included in many of the library's online databases. You’ll also find some materials that are not immediately available from the library but may be obtained through our interlibrary loan services. 

Project MUSE

A full-text collection of scholarly, peer-reviewed journals in the humanities and social sciences. UMass Dartmouth subscribes to the standard collection, which grants our students and faculty access to most, but not all, Project MUSE titles. You can limit your search to the standard collection titles by selecting the check box for "Only content I have full access to," which is located under "Additional Search Options."

ProQuest Central

(ProQuest) - A multidisciplinary database that covers a broad range of subject areas, such as business and economics, medical and health, news and world affairs, science, education, technology, humanities, social sciences, psychology, literature, law, and women's studies. Content includes over 19,000 periodical titles as well as thousands of dissertations, newspapers, working papers, case studies, market and industry reports, and videos.

PsycARTICLES

(EBSCO) - Offers complete access to more than 180,000 full-text articles from more than 100 journals in the psychological sciences, including basic/experimental psychology, clinical psychology, developmental psychology, education and school psychology, health psychology, and industrial/organizational psychology. Coverage includes full-text titles from as early as 1894.

Psychology Database

(ProQuest) - "Complete full-text coverage from top psychology and related publications, this database meets the needs of both students and mental-health professionals."

PsycINFO

(EBSCO) - PsycINFO contains more than 4 million bibliographic records for research in the field of psychology, including citations, journal articles, book chapters, books, dissertations, and technical reports. Journal coverage spans the 17th century to present, including international material selected from more than 2,500 periodicals in over 35 languages. More than 60,000 records are added each year. Also includes information about the psychological aspects of related disciplines such as medicine, psychiatry, nursing, sociology, education, pharmacology, physiology, linguistics, anthropology, business and law. Incorporates searchable full text articles from 43 journals published by the American Psychological Association and 8 from allied organizations. 

PubMed

(National Center for Biotechnology Information, NLM) - Provides free access to the National Library of Medicine's MEDLINE database. Includes bibliographic citations and abstracts to articles in more than 4600 journals in the fields of pre-clinical sciences, healthcare, clinical medicine, biomedical research, nursing, and allied health, among others. Now includes links to full-text articles in PubMed Central.

PubMed Central (PMC)

(National Center for Biotechnology Information) - Provides free access to full text articles in over 130 life sciences journals. It is linked to PubMed and is fully searchable.

12 million US companies, compiled and verified from public information, with data on sales, number of employees, e-mail addresses, product and service information, and geographic area.

RefWorks

RefWorks is a web-based bibliography and citation manager that allows users to create their own personal databases by importing references from text files or online databases. If you're new to RefWorks, you can find more information on our website.

Religion Database

(ProQuest) - "A comprehensive collection of journals covering religious issues and perspectives, including religious news and information, commentary on topics of general interest from the perspective of a particular religion, and formal theological studies."

Research Library

(ProQuest) - A general reference database that covers a broad range of subjects, from business and political science to literature and psychology. 

ReVIEW

(Design Research Publications) - Provides access to full-text nineteenth and early twentieth century art journals. ReVIEW is a project from Art History Research net (AHR net) to digitize many of the most important decorative and fine arts journals published in Europe and the USA during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

ROSA P (National Transportation Library)

(U.S. Dept. of Transportation) - Collections in ROSA P include full-text electronic publications, datasets, and other resources covering the transportation research ecosystem. 

Science Database

(ProQuest) - "Full text and images for the leading periodicals in science and technology. Subject coverage includes computers, engineering, physics, telecommunications, and transportation."

Science In Context

(GALE) - Contextual information on hundreds of the most current and significant science topics. Merges reference content with full-text magazines, academic journals, news articles, experiments, images, videos, audio files and links to vetted websites organized into a portal environment.

Science.gov

(US Govt.) - United States government science cross-agency portal. Search for full-text documents and reports of U.S. agencies.

SciFinder

(CAS) - SciFinder web access is limited to current UMassD students, faculty, and staff. You can register for an account here. If you would like access to ScFinder and are not a student or university employee, please contact the Reference department

SciFinder, from American Chemical Society, is the search interface to the Chemical Abstracts and MEDLINE databases. It provides subject coverage that includes the chemical aspects of astronomy, biology, education, engineering, economics, geology, history, mathematics, medicine, and physics.

Social Science Database

(ProQuest) - Provides indexing and access to hundreds of journals in the social sciences and related fields. Most journals included provide full text.
