 Interlibrary Loan Services

Graphic of ILL Van

Our Interlibrary Loan department can help you obtain articles and books from other libraries*. That means if you need something we don't have access to here at UMass Dartmouth, you can still get it. Here's how (see ILL FAQ for more info):

*Textbooks and other loanable material (DVDs, CDs, required reading, etc.) required for UMass Dartmouth classes that are available for sale through the campus store may not be requested through Interlibrary Loan.

Get Articles from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan (ILL) via your ILLIAD account:

Fill out this form whenever you need an article not available through the UMD library collections First Time Users will need to complete a registration form when logging for the first time.

Note: please use one of the following browsers: FirefoxChromeSafari.  Some browsers, such as Internet Explorer, have security settings that may interfere with your ability to login. Or, change the settings using the appropirate methods for the brower that is being used.

Borrow Books, Movies, and Music from other libraries

**Unfortunately, loan requests cannot be processed at this time due to the remote-operating status of interlibrary loan departments around the world. We will resume this service when we are able to successfully borrow material for you. If you have material that is urgently needed, but is not available in electronic form at present in our collection, fill out an Emergency Library Materials Request form.**

Commonwealth Catalog (ComCat)

** Requesting items in ComCat will be shutdown until further notice effective Monday, March 16 2020. In light of the Coronavirus outbreak, many libraries are closed to protect the public, staff, and volunteers. Delivery services have also shutdown as a precautionary measure, making inter-library loan impossible at this time. Please see your library's website for local closures and updates on services.**
